Palestinian doctors in Gaza in a message to Israeli doctors:
“We as doctors are ambassadors of peace. We save lives. Israeli doctors who signed a letter promoting bombing of hospitals with patients inside have committed a betrayal to their noble profession & bear responsibility”
The crisis in Gaza is having a devastating impact on access to health care for patients with long-term needs.
Patients with cancer, diabetes, heart disease and mental ill health face medicine stockouts and have been cut off from health services.
Just a third of primary care facilities are functioning, while the 66% of hospitals remaining open have substantially reduced services to cope with massive casualties.
Before 7 October, around 100 patients each day needed health care outside Gaza because of lack of availability of health care.
Health care is #NotATarget.
WHO calls for the sustained access for humanitarian supplies - fuel, water, food, medical supplies - into Gaza and for the evacuation of the sick and critically injured.

Great paper from @KWernliPhysio
Really important to understand the journey people go through not just an outcome measure. But also how these two things may be similar or differ!

😞Immigrants are frequently bullied, which negatively impacts their physical and mental well-being but is rarely discussed.

Almost anyone can burn bright for a few days. But few can burn bright for years upon years.
I've spent the last decade researching, reporting, and writing about sustainable excellence.
Here are the highlights of what I've learned:
Your intelligence cannot be measured by a number. It is defined by your willingness to learn, solve problems and try new things. You are more than just a number. Develop your skills. Share your brilliant ideas. Your skills are more valuable than your grades. 🧠
