2027: Dr Bashir Resigns PDP Membership, Joins APC in Adamawa

The Executive Chairman Adamawa State Primary Health Care Development Agency, Dr Sulaiman Saidu Bashir has resigned his membership from the people's Democratic party, PDP.

Dr.Bashir disclosed his position through a resignation letter addressed to the PDP Tsukumu-Tilijo ward, Michika local government area dated 27th February 2026 expressing his appreciation for the support and cooperation being rendered
to him while in the PDP.

Part of the statement reads “Indeed, my decision was due to the factionalized state of the party and the unending court litigations at the national level. More still, this decision clearly aligns with the support and commitment to the Leadership of Gov. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri towards the continued progress and development of Adamawa state.

“Consequently, while declaring my intention to join the All Progressives Congress party, I wish to appreciate the opportunity and privilege given to me in the PDP”.It emphasized.

Bashir also hailed the alignment of the Adamawa state government with the APCNotingng th thet, movement to APC by HE the Governor, the NationaAssembly l (NASS) and StatAssembly e (ADHA) Legislators, Commissioners, local government chairmen, and other elected and appointed individuals and groups, including Chairmen and members of BoardsAgencies,es anparastatals, remainsin strategic and principled.

According to him, the move reveals the enormous potential to bring renewed hope, opportunities, and long-term continued development of Adamawa state and the country at large.

Bashir also solicited the continued support of the good people of Adamawa state to the Governor, further reassuring them that better days lie ahead for the collective good of Adamawa state.
