I say this is a simulated pattern of copper metal and NOT experimental data.
@fxcoudert @PubPeer As an editor I keep seeing submissions like this.
Any time there is any doubt, I just ask the authors to supply the raw data as it was obtained from the instrument eg Bruker .raw file.
Legitimate authors will supply real data. Others have problems...
Ask for the raw data!
