Latest from Chris Roberts on Squadron 42:
“It feels pretty epic. I’m actually very excited for when people—because we’re right at the end now, we’re in the closing stages and it’s coming together really well.”
He says the team is in the final stretch, with Sandi Roberts adding they’re “imminently closer to launch” (in true game dev language). Still targeting 2026!
The single-player blockbuster we’ve been waiting for is almost here.
The most visually striking footage of the USCSS Prometheus features its arrival and operations on the moon LV-223, from the movie Prometheus.
Just watched this Prometheus (2012) landing sequence again. It's sci-fi perfection. That massive USCSS Prometheus slicing through LV-223’s atmosphere, four ion engines blazing white-hot as the outer fairings pivot into landing struts.
It’s easily one of my all-time favorite sci-fi ships ever created. It feels practical, lived-in, and engineered right. Perfect for deep-space exploration in the Alien universe.
Been seeing a ton of salt lately about Star Citizen and where the game actually stands right now… Especially since it has hit over $1 billion in funding...
What does everyone think? Is it really that bad, or are we just in another cycle?
