@andre_mc Are you looking to chuck these in a repo? I'm interested in what functions you're using for some of those impact motions
Excellent post btw, simple but impactful (just like the polish!)
Open gaming is the future of gaming @futureverse are leading how it will happen. No one in our space comes close to the depth of product innovation to power this future. Music credit to @jenmusicai

@callioperyder We normally have a rolled or flattened tip covered with leather at the tip of the sword to distribute force. I was fighting a guest who forgot to tip his sword correctly. It went into the webbing between my thumb and index. Some stitches, no loss of function and no scar 😀
- Grew up in a nursing home
- I have broken 5 bones (elbow, wrist, both ankles separately, left index finger)
- I fight with longswords multiple times a week (competing internationally this year!)
- I quit a job because my manager ignored my cry for help as a man tried to kill me
@callioperyder I also do HEMA! It stands for Historical European Martial Arts, its based on weapons based combat from the 15th - 18th century. Its full force, so we wear a bunch of gear etc to not die. This was me competing last week in an internal tournament. https://t.co/jkqn2XjnpD

@callioperyder So much context 😅
Single mum who was a Director of Nursing at a nursing home. Suuuper long hours, so we slept on a mattress in her office more than a few times! I spent my time after / before school there too, so it was a second home

@ThomasStewartW They really are two separate disciplines! I did my degree in game design, and then did exactly what you did 😅
After talking to designers, I get my understanding of the 'what' was limited by what I could get immediate feedback on.
Design is hard, it doesn't have that feedback
@FreyaHolmer 90% of my favourite personal projects have used this logic. I'm more productive and creative when I'm fully invested in the project, and often they serve as great fillers for my portfolio.
I'm in this industry for the joy of making stuff, so makes sense to make stuff I enjoy :)
@occasoftware Absolute semantics, but .magnitude and .sqrMagnitude are properties not methods!
I spent way too long looking at the list wondering why those two were bugging me 😅
@MaximoCavazzani@benz145 From what I've heard, the overall battery life of the 3 is slightly less than the 2, and most battery-strap implementations ive seen are great for providing a counterweight.
I've ordered with battery due to this, but I suppose I have to wait and see 😅
@benz145@CixLiv I did training experiences for years, and you always need a few people that have very little idea what a mobile is, let alone a Quest.
Past me running the game, and passing the HMD to them, if they were able to engage quickly and intuitively, makes you feel like a god of UX
@tha_rami I've spent 90% of my career working for small businesses who were taking a chance on new technology, or trying to expand into a different direction. I know many of my colleagues had a similar experience.
Fuck those jobs apparently, no small business is going to risk this.
