We don't need the same values, opinions, or experiences to treat each other with respect. If you want to get along, be willing to answer my questions or listen to my answers. Friends can accept we won't agree but try to understand & learn from each other.
@elonmusk … if I could find one that didn’t make my butt-pucker when I thought about the privacy violations, I’d be onboard. Till then, I keep driving the same car till it dies, I guess.
@_Hero_Hei_ What’s comically hypocritical: do you know who else wanted to destroy art/books f/ people they hated AND wanted hate mobs to harm them in the streets?
@METAPCs out of curiosity, do you sell upgrades to PC’s bought from you? Obviously memory prices are stupid atm, but rather than driving a couple hours to a Microcenter, I’d rather not order anything from Amzn again and deal with scammed items from 3rd parties.
@bequietofficial There is no end boss for me… just an unending war. Thank you. :)
I have a large house and my family works hard together but we live out in the country in an area we’re pretty sure people dump them… so after find homes for many, we still have 29… inside. :).
@bequietofficial I'm guessing this is an impossible ask, but I was curious if you sell or have knowledge of a replacement top cover for the 802? I was looking to 3d print something that will fit in that spot with "hostile architecture" to keep my cats off of it.
@SydneyLWatson@Mod2Severe I was reminded of that this morning when someone on Reddit was asking why my dryer wasn’t one of the new ones that works like an AC instead of my old heating one.
I’m like: they didn’t have those 20 yrs ago when I bought this one—that I maintained.
If anything I'd want to buy a replacement cover (so I don't mess up the original) to glue these to.... I figure if I drill holes where those spots are in between each spike, it would work well on top of the magnetic one. I intended to reprint in black, but wanted to test first.
Not sure why. People like me with disposable income aren’t buying new vehicles because the quality & lifetime expectations are generally terrible AND I’m not paying someone to violate my privacy. /shrug.
I’d love to purchase an EV, but they all have terrible privacy issues. It’s sad when I’m more willing to buy one made in China because I’m less concerned with them. Let that sink in.
I’m not sure what they expected, @Kneon .
They conditioned us not to want their slop.
1. We were trained not to preorder b/c journalists had no integrity on reviews & most were broken on release.
2. Terrible writing and characters we aren’t interested in.
3. Over monetization.
I’ll stick with my modded modded SSE, and support creators making mods I love on Patreon. The studios obviously don’t want my money.
I’m excited for projects like Skyblivion, because Oblivion Remastered was broken forever and can’t actually be modded well.
Incase anyone isn’t aware, just randomly noticed Lima, OH @Lowes has 3 Flock cameras in their parking lot. Suggest taking your business elsewhere in the future.
Pulled up the map after saw one pulling in.
I spend about $20k there a year, not including company purchases, so it’s going to be a pain going somewhere else, but so be it.
I don't generally bother going to the Creations page unless I specifically hear about something via a review or other creator I follow. The site is horrible to navigate.
For Bethesda game "Creations" success & profit:
1. Improve the site and make it easier to find mods with filters both in the in-game menu & ESPECIALLY on the website. The site is like trying to navigate a network share by people who don't understand naming comventions.
2. Allow reviews. I shouldn't have to go "Bing" a mod to be linked to Reddit or another site to read reviews if a mod is worth the purchase.
3. Add a "change log" similar to other sites so Authors can document changes & show progress on mods that are WIP.
In the unlikely event you're actually reading this and make it this far: Have a conversation with your peers overseeing the OS (Windows). Let them know a lot of us have begun moving to Linux because Windows has several key issues I am not willing to tolerate any longer.
1. Optimize. Stop installing slop I didn't ask for and make the OS actually run well with gaming. You know what's more annoying? Having slop re-installed after I removed it.
2. Privacy. I avoid MS products, bing, etc because I have 0 privacy when using your OS.
3. Do not use Windows to advertise to me. It's an OS. I already stopped using Bing because all I would get on the first several pages of results were links to sites selling an item. Unless I put the word "buy" in a search, I'm looking for information on the product. Not 12 sites from Grainger & 10 more from Amazon. Sure, add one or two to the first page, but I want useful information.
4. Stability. Stop with the vibe coding. Every update over the last year has been a mess. AI has possibility to improve productivity. Relying on it completely and not having someone skilled actually go over what it's doing is destroying all semblence of security or stability on the OS.
@EndymionYT the bigger issue isn’t “not paying for pto, healthcare, etc…”. That will be factored in. The BIGGER benefit of contractors is if they don’t meet requirements on deliverables, they don’t get paid….
Now those people who can’t perform that need let go aren’t renewed.
As excited as I am for this, please ensure modability is at the forefront of plans & actions. Bethesda’s writing & environmental story telling is the key but one of the depressing things about Starfield was they left so much space that modders could use but the delay in modding tools really killed the community that could have grown around it. Over 10k hrs played in Skyrim & 2k in SF, and I really loved both but see quite a lot of room for improvement.
Also… is it really too much to ask for Bethesda to actually fix typo’s and simple mistakes? The community patches are becoming a meme at this point. With all the releases of Skyrim, for example, I feel like paying someone to go in and fix a few of those things in the Creation Kit/Dev tools, isn’t too much to ask.
@OrdinaryGamers suggestion for video series: take someone like me (basic tech background that’s semi-out-of-date) and walkthrough the types of things they do online, their setup, & easy steps to tighten things up. Could be a start for folks that don’t watch every video….
Well, at a minimum, it cleared up my store page without having to ignore every single game... I'd rather they added it so if the developer removed it they could remove the tag, though.
I guess for my next 1st world problem to complain about, I'll bellyache about AAA only putting out slop now days and being tired of having to play 10-15 y/o games with heavy mods just to have anything to play. :(
@OrdinaryGamers Really wish there would be a push for Steam to add a tag for Denuvo (so i can filter them until they remove it). Would make it easier to ignore them until they remove it and I'm willing to buy... tired of having to check back every 6 months.
I look at it this way: I'm not buying it until they remove it and if they are going to wait so long the game is cheap, I get a discount for my patience.
