I identified the 49ers as the perfect landing spot for Jordan James as soon as I started watching him. Excellent wide zone runner whose early down ability contrasts McCaffrey’s 3rd down skillset nicely. Great vision, high end backup and rotational ball carrier.

Bradyn Swinson had round 1 buzz. Patriots get him at 146. A long, powerful standup EDGE who can win with inside counters. Perfect fit as a pass rush OLB in the Pats 3-4 scheme. Not ready to be a number one guy yet but has the potential to be a 3 down game wrecker.

The Browns move up to finally take Shedeur Sanders off the board. Such a weird pick. Great scheme fit, exceptional value in the fifth round, but the position room is more than crowded now. Deshaun Watson, Flacco, Kenny Pickett, Dillon Gabriel, and now Sanders.

Love how the Titans are bringing variety in terms of skillset into their receiver room. Elic Ayomanor is a true X who dominated Travis Hunter in 2023.

Raiders take Tonka Hemingway at 135. Recruited as an EDGE and transitioned to the interior at SC. Still developing his feel in the run game. Ultimately an impactful interior pass rusher with a diverse arsenal of moves who’s well worth a late 4th rounder.

Kyle Kennard is exceptional value in the mid fourth. Big, long, and explosive. Wins with speed, bend, and inside counters. Has major upside. Experienced in both a 2 & 4 point stance. I prefer him with his hands in the dirt, but h’ll be a 3-4 pass rush OLB for LAC.

Great value for the Titans to get Gunnar Helm at 120. Slot mismatch, strong hands, contested catch winner, RAC demon. Largely struggles as a blocker, but can be a security blanket for Cam Ward in the slot and offers a skillset the Titans’ offense was lacking.

The Falcons took back to back EDGE rushers with their first two picks and now back to back safeties with their last two. Can we please address the offensive line? Receiver? Tight end? This team has other needs. Bowman is a liability in run defense.

Trevor Etienne will be a better pro than college back. Offers vision, elusiveness in close quarters, and is reliable on third downs. He’s flown under the radar in a deep RB class but a great pick by Carolina at 114.

Saints take Danny Stutsman at 112. A storied college linebacker who diagnoses & tracks as good as anyone in this draft. He’s filled out and offers more than enough athleticism. Good move by NOLA to get ahead of the clock in replacing Demario Davis.

The Jets take Georgia receiver Arian Smith with the 110th pick. He’s a track guy who can stretch a defense vertically but struggles to catch the football. Could be a valuable special teamer, but feels early when there’s still talent at the position available.

I’m calling that there’s more to the Shedeur Sanders fall than we know about. No way this guy is falling just based on arm strength and a little bit of hero ball. I thought my round 2 grade was low on him but here we are with him still on the board going into day 3.

Really like Gabriel to the Browns at 94. Dude can be a starter at the next level. Smart, accurate, and creative. I don’t care about size or age. High end backup at least. Had the same grade on him as Shedeur, still would’ve taken the latter over him bc of injuries.

Everybody wants to talk about the upside with Milroe, but anticipation, touch, pocket feel, and creativity are unlikely to come along this late in development. Ceiling is a good backup & package runner in the NFL. Shedeur fits their scheme more and is just better.

Good value for the Ravens to get Emery Jones Jr at 91. He’s got great size and length. Flashes of high level play, but needs improve punch timing, hand placement, and consistency. He’s got the upside to be a plus starter at the next level.

Rams get Josiah Stewart at 90. He’s an elite run defender and is able to win with a bull rush despite being a smaller EDGE. Needs to diversify his pass rush repertoire, but will be impactful on early downs from day 1. Perfect fit as an OLB in Rams base 3-4 D.

Ravens having a great draft per usual. Mike Green played fits well as a 3-4 OLB in the Ravens’ defense. Bendy, productive, and has a tool bag of rush moves to win with. Needs to improve integrity against the run. You hope the off field red flags check out.
