Eg. if someone can get 2-3+ super rebirth worth of upgrades, and someone else isn't willing to spend and gets stuck behind. That sense of competition is lost and so is the interest to continue often.

@PhillSnerdsFN The downside is that the Crystal shop will get flooded with useful upgrades that will become progressively more expensive to incentives people to spend to progress faster. And people who don't spend won't be able to keep up new content without spending an absurd amount of time.

In Natlan you also have saurians that replicate the movement of the character that you say need to be pulled for. Most regions have movement options that influence exploration. Some people might prefer that.
