Let’s talk about why the U.S. dollar is suddenly wobbling and why that should scare the hell out of everyone.

For decades, the dollar has been the world’s safe bet. 💵 It’s what global trade runs on. It gave America economic superpowers: cheaper debt, more spending, global influence.

But Trump’s latest economic chaos is shaking that dominance. Hard.

After his massive “Liberation Day” tariffs, something weird happened. Instead of strengthening the dollar (as tariffs usually do), it weakened. Big yikes. 🚨

Even worse? Investors started bailing—not just on stocks, but on U.S. Treasury bonds. That’s huge. Those bonds are the global gold standard of safety.

When those get dumped:
•Interest rates spike 📈
•Loans, credit cards, mortgages all get more expensive 🏡💳
•Global confidence plummets

Hedge funds are pulling cash. China and Japan (our biggest creditors) are slowing or halting dollar buys. Foreign central banks? Buying gold instead. 🪙

Why? Because Trump’s policy is a mess.
He says he wants a strong dollar… while backing plans to weaken it. His top advisor even floated the “Mar-a-Lago Accord,” a plan to intentionally crash the dollar to force other countries to buy American goods.

That’s not strategy. That’s sabotage.

A falling dollar would mean:
•Higher inflation 🔥
•Skyrocketing costs on imports
•Global investors fleeing
•And maybe, the end of the dollar as the world’s reserve currency

No gold bar or crypto coin will save us if that happens.

As economist Adam Tooze warned:
“For life to continue anything like normally, this narrative must remain a fear not a reality.”
