Alex giggles as she continued prepping as the chicken was finished placing the meat on a oven heat resistant rack. She takes off the plastic gloves throwing them away. She got the oven pre heated to the temperature she wants,"using a recipe from my mom tonight."
Alex smiled,"how considerate of you Astarion." She says getting some chicken meat out from the fridge as it was in a specialized package already. She then began to prep it for dinner as she already washed her hands and has plastic gloves on already.
“Ah, very well then. I shall graciously refrain from offering further assistance; your palate has endured quite enough of my culinary ventures for one day~”
"Good cause I'm sure there will be plenty of them to kill tomorrow." She noticed it was around dinnertime,"I'm gonna get myself something to eat in the kitchen for dinner." She says heading to her kitchen to see what she can prep then make.
“You know… as strange as it sounds, I actually did found myself enjoying it. Quite the unexpected turn, really—I just never imagined those words would leave my lips”
Following the woman, Astarion's eyes narrowed at the tacky, glowing slab that held her focus. Another utterly baffling, tedious toy. He tilted his head in polite bewilderment. "Tomorrow? Lucky us~”
Alex went to her laptop going to her email noticing some missions available that can be done anytime,"we'll go on some demon slaying missions tomorrow. For now we can relax."
“Oh, I am,” Astarion purred, a self-satisfied smirk tugging at his lips. “I can feel it—strength returning. Quite invigorating, really.” His eyes gleamed, pleased with the newfound vitality thrumming beneath his skin.
The remark caught Astarion off guard, his gaze sweeping over her, searching, perhaps, for the glint of deception. But no, she appeared disarmingly sincere. He hesitated, the words slipping out softer than usual. “I… thank you. Truly. For understanding”
Alex looked relieved as she smiled,"ok good. Whenever you need another drink feel free to let me know." She says before folding up the towels placing them in the hamper.
“Not at all! I simply haven't experienced half demonic blood before. It has satisfied my thirst, if that is your concern; the flavour is quite enchanting.”
"Well half devil but more or less yes. Are you feeling different?" She asked curiously. Of course there was that subtle worry in her voice incase something did happen to him.
With a graceful swipe of his fingers, Astarion dabbed away the remnants of his last bite from the corners of his mouth, his gaze sharpening with sudden interest.
“Did you say you had demon traits? ”
"Unique?" She asked curiously as she placed a small towel on her bite wound making sure it stops bleeding and her body can heal,"at least my body can easily heal so that bite mark wouldn't be seen by anyone."
After ensuring he had an appropriate amount and not taking too much, he withdrew, licking his lips. "It's... unique. A positive uniqueness, I must say?"
Alex relaxed her whole body as she let Astarion feed off her blood. She can tell it's a weird experience at first but luckily she was used to pain and didn't flinch when his fangs broke through her skin,"how is it?"
"Very well," he stepped closed and brushed some of her hair aside, exposing her neck. He thought to make it quick, leaning in and piercing the skin with his fangs, drinking in her blood.
Alex placed a smaller towel making sure it was around her neck. She then placed the bigger towel on the floor where her head and neck would be making sure the towel was folded up,"Any blood that should spill will be easier to clean up this way."
Astarion trailed behind her, inquiring, "Where would you prefer to place the towel?" This was undoubtedly a peculiar situation for him, and he was curious about its progression.
Astarion's smirk widened, a glint in his crimson eyes. “Wherever you're most comfortable. Perhaps the bathroom, if you're concerned about the... spatter?”
