Bruh, no ref or judge in any sport makes anywhere close to what the professionals t the top doing it are getting, and its not like all 1k people who are playing make money, its a top cut of a top cut. They judge because they like to be around the game, but maybe don't understand it or play it well enough to jump that final hurdle and make money.
All the judges, myself, koi, lex stream director koby, broadcast helpers COMBINED are paid less than the value of a top 64 card for 2 days of work for a weekend after our 40hr fulltimes. 100% what happened was wrong, but people gotta @ the ceo's not the guy bagging fries
@vandiiloptcg One bad judge down, giving space for a new one to make a difference. The game is growing and I'm sure there will be others to fill the roles.
We are on the same side, but I don't think I view it the way you do. The judges and organizations that host events gatekeep these roles.
Roasting the judge is the social peer pressure to have that judge not judge anymore because of bad calls. This happens in most other competitive events. The community is saying they want the judge to not judge anymore, which sounds fair after making a terrible call and not noticing the dice.

This is the direct quote, so you did kind of say it.
I do agree there needs to be more judges, or some way to make the judges want to care.
Im newer to playing one piece, but Ive watched football and hockey basically my entire life, and I've never seen one of those refs make a bad call and then turn around and blame everyone at the top. No matter the pressure or stress, they agreed to be the judge. No matter the limited pay or limited numbers of helpers, they agreed to judge.
Making a bad call as a judge and deflecting blame to higher-ups once the bad call is brought to the public though is wild, as was my original claim.
Should there be more judges or a better system? Sure,
This doesn't deflect from poor decision-making by the judges at this event however.
I get that part, but you also opened with " the players make way more than the judges dont @ the judges" but thats the wrong attitude imo.
They do the same thing in other competitive events where judges/refs/moderators are less paid than the players, but that's the gig they take on. The CEO didnt make a bad judgment call and let a player get around the rules, the judge did lol
@HiThereJosh Nothing wrong with using AI to build something you normally couldn't have. Coding without AI almost makes 0 sense now a days. An experienced software engineer can build 10x faster, allowing for more tools to be built
@MINHxDYNASTY@yeet Parlays are your worst enemy, I know people have success at them but they are so against you it's not even funny. I use to bet parlays relentlessly (live in vegas, worked in the casino) and I had a teller once stop me and tell me just how bad betting parlays are
