As we know, Cowboys and NFL fans will continue to mourn Kneeland today and for however long each chooses. The unfortunate reality of this world is that this day will have to move on, and we will have to continue life. But that being said, just because the day moves and does not mean we forget the underlying problem in addressing mental health in not only men but in athletes. Everyday, be a person one can seek out for help and conversation, be a beacon of hope for someone who needs it. Ask for help, be there, be present. Just because these athletes are making more money than we can phantom does not mean they aren’t struggling mentally with their own battles. Kneeland lost his mom last year, Dak lost his mom and brother, these athletes are human just like us. Be an advocate for mental health not only for today, but everyday you breathe air.
