A tropical disturbance has a 60% of forming into a tropical system in the next few days. While it is too early to determine wind or severe impacts from the system, heavy rainfall due to tropical moisture is expected across north and central Georgia by the end of the week. #gawx
Arguably the weirdest thing I’ve ever seen a FUNNEL developed within the smoke stacks of a power plant underneath the base of a supercell near Racine, OH. WHA?!?! #ohwx@NWSCharlestonWV
A tropical disturbance currently sits in far Eastern Mexico this evening, with a 30% chance of forming into a tropical system (TD/TS) within the next 7 days.
While chances are low that this becomes a formidable system, it will bring a significant amount of rain to the Southern U.S., from Texas, through the Deep South.
Depending on how well organized this system could become, it may also produce a couple days of severe weather along the Gulf Coast later this week.
