Andrew Neilโs Brexit reality check on BBC Question Time.
In a nutshell:
Rejoiners are ignoring the huge political wind of change sweeping Europe and the UK v Germany/ France/ Italy growth rates make a nonsense of their Mickey Mouse economic arguments too.

๐จBREAKING: Huge motorcade for coaches that were planned to pick up illegal migrants going through Hampshire.
Reports suggest that the home office abandoned it's attempts to bring the migrants in via Gosport due to protesters blocking the port and roads.
They were then redirected by boat to somewhere else along the south coast, with reports suggesting Eastbourne in East Sussex. This could be where the motorcade is now heading.
The situation is ongoing.
Britain does have a political donation scandal. But it involves LABOUR
70%+ of trade union members DO NOT support the Labour party
So why is their money being used to fund Labour?
Reform has more supporters than Labour in Unite & GMB, so why are these 2 unions amongst Labour's biggest donors?
Taken together, trade unions make up approx. 50% of Labour's donations. How can this possibly be justified?
Where is the democratic accountability?
And why is the media silent about this?
The chart below, taken from a Times poll in May 2026, shows levels of support for political parties amongst trade union members.
All Trade Unions combined:
28% of members support Labour
28% of members support Reform
Unite
36% support Reform
30% support Labour
GMB
31% support Reform
22% support Labour
Should trade unions be prohibited from donating to Labour?

Ann was an incredible and formidable politician that I had the great pleasure to get to know well. Every week in Brussels we would have dinner together and she would regale me with stories of Thatcher, Major and parliamentary life. She was fun, loyal, patriotic, and had a wicked sense of humour . When we set up @reformparty_uk she would tell me off and berate me! She was one of a kind and will be sorely missed
So, in other words, sheโs also a landlord but refuses to say on air.
What an absolute mess they all are.
How many properties do you own?@rachelmillward
