#CWSF 2017 & 2018 alumni, @StellaBowles, was awarded the Order of Nova Scotia in 2021, for her commitment to cleaning up the LaHave River. Her 2017 #ScienceFair project garnered quite some attention on social media....(thread)
How did an 11-year old's science fair project lead to becoming the youngest recipient of the Order of Nova Scotia?
Join @JayFamiglietti in our podcast's season finale as he talks with @StellaBowles, whose 6th-grade water science experiment changed her life – and her community.
@tneknai My favourite is when he told Evan Solomon on CBC Power & Politics years ago that 'the root causes of terrorism 'are terrorists.' OMFG. Nope. Cannot imagine him as PM. Look up the clip. Its worth watching. 🤦🏽♀️

I would like to thank Lt Gov Arthur J LeBlanc, his wife Ms. LeBlanc and all of the organizers who arranged my private Investiture in the Order of Nova Scotia. The afternoon spent at Gov. House I will treasure forever. I am so honoured @LtGovNS@TimHoustonNS @SSRCE_NS
I enjoyed being part of @scoutscanada Sustainability Panel and hearing from @MolooNaila & @ItsVishalVijay earlier today. I am inspired. Together, we can work toward the Sustainable Development Goals to@build a better world and a brighter future for everyone @EveryChild_Now
Shoutout to Canadian youth environmentalist @StellaBowles! Her Grade 6 science project made headlines and inspired action to address the pollution in the LaHave River. Today, she continues to inspire others to tackle water pollution where they live.👏 #InternationalYouthDay
@LongMcQuade@Fender I would rather have the Vintera 60’s Jazzmaster. Cooler shape, whammy bar and the rhythm/lead circuit would be more versatile than the Telecaster.
@LongMcQuade@Fender I prefer the Jazz master because I am a guitar player and I always wanted one! The lead/rhythm circuit would be a nice feature to use as well. I also prefer guitars with whammy bars.
@LongMcQuade@Fender I prefer the HSS Performer Strat. Cool colour, hum bucker, maple neck with 22 frets and a whammy bar makes a very versatile guitar.
@LongMcQuade I prefer the Vintera 60’s Jaguar Modified. It has humbuckers which I prefer for a bigger sound. I also like the switching options for lots of diverse sounds. The body shape and colour also look cooler as well.
@LongMcQuade If I had to choose, I would pick the American Performer Telecaster. It has a 22nd fret and a rosewood fretboard, perfect for getting my Led Zeppelin on!
@LongMcQuade I prefer the American performer. The humbucker in the bridge and the extra 22nd fret better suits my playing style. I also like the sound and feel of a maple neck on a Stratocaster. Also I like the cool mint colour too!
The Discovery Centre Halifax has always been one of my favourite places. Now I’m in an exhibit @DivertNS Ocean Action Zone!
Had to play a bit too since we were there after hours. #ThisIsJoyLab#JoyLabHFX
