In our own local context, the significance of democracy in our Union is profound. It is the bedrock that transforms our diverse aspirations into a unified, student-centered movement. Just as the nation continues to evolve through the power of the vote and the voice of the people, our Union thrives when every Unilorite is empowered to hold leadership accountable and participate in the governance that affects their daily lives.

My journey over the last four years has taught me that democracy is not merely about holding office, it is a responsibility to be discharged with competence, integrity, and a granular understanding of the systems that hold our community together.
