honestly, some books would be better if the author deleted the first 50 pages.
i don’t need 3 chapters of worldbuilding before anything happens.
i don’t need the main character’s entire childhood before i know why i should care about them.
and i definitely don’t need 17 characters introduced before i’ve learned to remember the first 4.
start the story. let me get attached. make me ask questions.
you can explain the world while i’m busy falling in love with it.

If you are self-publishing on KDP, your book ideally needs to be exported as a reflowable epub (recommended) or one of the other formats KDP accepts.
Before you upload, you need to check it works properly on a Kindle device or app.
Amazon has a 'send to' feature where you can do this.
Don't lose reviews because you skip this vital step.
As a typesetter for indie authors, I always check everything looks perfect before I return the finished files to the customer.🤍
@imranvoker0392@winterrbear123@Creator__247 You can be gushing and then not bleed for a couple of hours and then start gushing again. It isn't a continous, steady, light stream. Some questions should be embarrassing. Use Google next time, it's more "fashionable" than looking like an idiot.
