@tallndiabolical it's SO GOOD! there are certain aspects that feel very much of their time (I don't think it'd be written the same way in re: the MC's deafness nowadays) but it's so dreamlike and beautiful. If you can get your hands on it, I def recommend checking it out!

When you think of a book from your childhood, what's the first one that comes to mind?
Me, waiting for my brain to work again so I can actually get this book written in a half-decent fashion. Me, feeling like Penelope waiting for Odysseus to return. Me, waaaaaiiittttttinnnnggg.
BTW, "Project Pumpkin" is now "Stabby Book", a hint to what the final title is ;-)

Finished a client edit this morning, so next week I get to dive back into drafting Project Pumpkin! I had a eureka moment for one of the stories that involves completely changing the protagonist (hullo Bluebeard retelling from the bride's mom's POV!) + I can't WAIT
