An underrated guitarist if there ever were one- Ralphs was the perfect (pre-Eddie) balance between hot riffs and dazzling solos, all filtered through perfect tone. Crank up “Good Lovin’ Gone Bad” or “Burnin’ Sky” for proof
Happy Statehood Day, Tennessee.
For 229 years, the Volunteer State has been a beacon for opportunity, security & freedom, & we remain focused on innovating our state for future generations of Tennesseans.
So much more to enjoy here than people typically say- Christopher Walken and Roger Moore absolutely nail their performances. Favorite moment(s) definitely the last 20 minutes
Roger Moore’s (00)7th #JamesBond film A VIEW TO A KILL had its US premiere on this day back in 1985, and despite its flaws, we still love it!
But what’s your favourite moment from the movie?
Shocking that the EON era is officially over. This franchise has thrived for over six decades bc of this amazing group of people. I can only hope Amazon does right by 007.
James Bond Will Return, but I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t leery.
@SpyHards@007@TheIanFleming FYEO by a wide margin- YOLT sags under the weight of Connery’s ambivalence toward the role and a really bland stretch of 45-ish minutes in the middle, and NTTD is such a disgrace on every level.
@SpyHards@007@PierceBrosnan@TheIanFleming All 4 are pivotal to the series (particularly in the Bond actors’ adaptation to the role by that time), but I’ll give the edge to Skyfall. I’ve always loved it and the sheer weight of its plot (which ironically owes plenty to the underrated TWINE)
@historyrock_ The Cult’s 2006 bootleg from The Marquee Theatre- Astbury and Duffy are completely in synch and totally on fire throughout. The sound quality is immaculate, and the setlist is airtight (the deep cut “Wonderland” especially being a treat)
