It really feels like #LSU is doing all the things that guys talking sports at the bar would suggest but no AD in their right mind would / could do.
Pay the $54 million buyout, fire Brian Kelly and bring in Lane Kiffin? Sure.
And bring in Coach O to recruit? Yep.
Then let’s give him $40M+ for the portal? No problem.
And while we’re at it, let’s bring back Will Wade, because paying players is legal now? Of course.
And let’s bring back Johnny Jones too, that guy could recruit. Why not?
And since there’s no rules in the portal, let’s just bring in a bunch of fringe NBA players? Done.
It’s kind of wild to see so many pipe dreams come to reality in one offseason…

News: #LSU defensive coordinator Blake Baker has withdrawn from consideration for the Tulane Green Wave job, @wdsu reports.
Lane Kiffin and Co. continued to push this week for Baker to remain in Baton Rouge.
Now, after a back and forth, Baker appears to have made up his mind.
Lane Kiffin has arrived in Baton Rouge.
The planes pulled into a private hangar, where LSU officials waited to greet him and the others, and they’re loading the cars out of sight.
