The 2021 Fries Prize for Public Health is awarded to David Satcher. Satcher served as both @CDCgov director and U.S. Surgeon General, only the second person to do so. Satcher is recognized for his career of work toward making health equity a reality. #APHA2021
And to be clearer, comprehensive sex ed *includes* abstinence education. Hiding information from people does not help and encourage productive decision making.
Just to be clear: there is nothing “pro-life” about denying people comprehensive sexual education, making birth control harder to access, forcing others to give birth against their will, and stripping them of healthcare and food assistance afterwards.
