Visibility creates a strange trap.
Once people know you have money, expectations tend to grow with it. The bigger house becomes the new normal. The expensive holiday becomes an annual obligation. The luxury car needs service and replacement. The lifestyle develops a monthly maintenance bill.
Congratulations: you’ve managed to turn financial freedom into a subscription service.
You can live in a perfectly nice house while owning assets worth several times its value. Drive an ordinary car while your investments quietly generate more wealth than any salary you might qualify to earn if you wanted to. Fly economy and stay in the occasional spectacular hotel because you actually want to, rather than because you need to demonstrate that you can.
And here’s the beautiful part:
Nobody needs to know.
That means your wealth remains a tool rather than becoming a performance.
A police officer sits alone in his office long after everyone else has gone home. On the desk in front of him is the case file of the young man arrested that afternoon.
The suspect is his son.
One phone call to an old colleague could make the evidence disappear. His son would avoid prison. His family would be spared public shame. He remembers teaching the boy to ride a bicycle, cheering from the sidelines during football matches, and promising he would always protect him.
Or he could let the law take its course.
Neither choice feels evil.
One means losing his son.
The other means losing the man he believes himself to be.
That dilemma exposes something most of us misunderstand about ourselves.
Life eventually presents a bill that says, “You can keep only one.” That’s the first moment we discover the hidden order of our own convictions.
A journalist uncovers evidence that her closest friend has been accepting bribes. Publishing the story protects the public but destroys a friendship.
A doctor has one ventilator left and two patients with an equal chance of surviving. Saving one life means letting another die.
The philosopher Isaiah Berlin argued that many human values are genuine, yet they cannot all be fully honored at the same time. Justice and mercy. Loyalty and truth. Freedom and security. The tragedy of many important decisions is choosing which good must be sacrificed so another good can survive.
Your values are not the principles you’re willing to admire. They’re the principles you’re willing to lose something to protect.
Every difficult decision leaves one value standing and another sacrificed. That’s how the hidden hierarchy inside us becomes visible. Until that moment, even we may not know which principle truly comes first.
People often ask others what they believe in. I find it more revealing to watch what they’re willing to give up.
Beliefs are inexpensive. Sacrifice is expensive. And expensive things tell the truth.
Days ago, I accidentally hit a parked Lexus . I felt terrible knowing that the owner would eventually return to find the car in that condition.
I waited for about 20 minutes, hoping the owner would come back. When no one showed up, I wrote a note, placed it under the windshield wiper, and drove away. In the note, I sincerely apologized, accepted full responsibility for the damage, and included my phone number.
When I got home, I kept expecting a call from the owner, but none came. I became worried, wondering if the wind had blown the note away or if the owner had simply not seen it.
This morning, my phone finally rang. It was the owner of the vehicle. I apologized again and explained how I had waited at the scene before leaving the note. As we talked, we switched to a WhatsApp video call.
During our conversation, I learned something that deeply moved me. Had I not left that note, the driver's life could have been turned upside down. The owner explained that it was his driver who had taken the vehicle out. When the driver returned with the note in tears, he admitted what had happened.
The owner said that if the note had not been there, he would have assumed the driver was responsible. He intended to have him arrested, compel him to pay for the damaged headlight, and dismiss him from his job—despite the fact that the driver's salary could never cover the cost of the repair.
I pleaded with him not to take such action. He replied that there was no longer any need since I had accepted responsibility.
He initially planned to send me his account details for the repairs, but later told me not to worry about it.
I left that conversation overwhelmed with gratitude to God. A simple decision to be honest and take responsibility may have saved a man from losing his job, his dignity, and his livelihood.
Behind every worker is a family. That driver is someone's husband and someone's father. Had events unfolded differently, his wife and children would have borne the pain of consequences they did not deserve.
Integrity may seem costly in the moment, but it can save lives, preserve livelihoods, and restore faith in humanity.

Dearest,
I know you’ve been standing at the edge for a while now. Not because you don’t have dreams; you have so many of them that they keep you awake at night, and it’s not because you aren’t capable either; you’ve spent years learning, preparing, planning, waiting for the day you’d finally be ready.
Your dilemma is that the beginning feels terrifying.
No one tells you that the hardest part isn’t the work itself. It’s allowing yourself to be seen; it’s stepping out from the quiet corners you’ve hidden in for so long and saying, “Here I am, this is what I have to offer.”
That kind of vulnerability can feel unbearable, especially when you look around and everyone else seems to have already built the life you wanted.
You see people celebrating milestones you haven’t even had the chance to chase. They have the audience, the career, the business, the confidence. They seem so certain of themselves that you begin to wonder if you’ve waited too long, if life has quietly moved on without you.
I am familiar with that feeling.
It convinces you that your first step has to compete with someone else’s hundredth; it whispers that because you’re just starting, you’ve already lost.
But darling, that’s not how life works. You are not in a race with people who were never meant to walk your road; you are not late because your story unfolded differently; you are simply standing at the beginning of a chapter that only you can write.
And beginnings have never asked us to be fearless, only willing. Willing to write the first sentence, willing to post the first piece, willing to apply for the job, start the business, record the podcast, publish the book, create the thing that’s been living inside your heart for far too long.
You don’t need certainty; you only need enough courage to take today’s step. Tomorrow will ask for another.
That’s all.
Don’t let the time you spent waiting become another reason to wait longer; you’ve already mourned enough time. The world has never needed another perfect person; it has and will always need real ones. The ones whose voices shake, the ones who hit “publish” with sweaty palms, the ones who are scared but refuse to let fear become the author of their lives.
If no one has told you this lately, then let me be the first: I believe in the person you’re becoming. Not because I know you’ll never fail, but because I know that nothing beautiful can grow in a life that is never planted.
So plant the dream, water it with consistency, protect it from comparison, feed it warm rays of hope, then leave the timing to life.
One day, you’ll look back at this version of yourself with so much tenderness. You’ll want to wrap your arms around the person who thought she was too late and whisper, “You had no idea how much life was waiting for you on the other side of beginning.”
Take my hand, not because I can walk the path for you, but because I want you to know you don’t have to take that first step feeling alone.
I’m rooting for you.
Always,

Only Christians without any depth in their walk with the Holy Spirit argue about "Once saved, always saved vs Severally saved, never saved"
Salvation is a personal matter
Faith is a personal matter
You can receive your own salvation and lose it according to your faith
I have received my own salvation, and I cannot lose it according to my faith
The just shall live by faith
Live by yours, and I will live by mine
If you lose your salvation and you begin to search for it, you can be sure that it is not with me because I have mine.
Search for it among your friends who also have losable salvations
If they lose theirs, they may steal yours and repent later or even take it by force if they are violent enough
If when you read John 3:16, you see there that God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, and whosoever believes in him shall have "temporary" life, so be it.
We all read the same things, but our interpretations are subject to our biases
What you cannot do is ask me not to see that the scripture said "For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whoever believes ih him shall have eternal life"
It is temporary to you
It is eternal to me
Just like love
Some can only love you for now
Some can love you for now and always
I understand those who cannot believe in the eternal nature of the finished works of Christ
I wonder why they don't understand those who believe in eternal salvation
Maybe eternal salvation offers a wisdom and a depth of love and understanding that temporary salvation does not offer.
Temporary salvation means you can never enter into the realm of the saved and just with confidence
Your visa might be revoked at any time and for any reason if you ever do anything wrong
For those of us with eternal salvation, we are citizens of Zion, ambassadors of Christ, and we walk boldly into the throne of Grace and obtain mercy whenever we need it.
This has granted us the confidence that a tourist cannot have
We call heaven home; we are not seeking asylum or vying for a visiting visa
We are citizens of Heaven.

You see believers today full of condemnation.
You wonder where they got it from
When did it become cool to act, think, talk, and imbibe the culture of the Pharisees so much that a follower of Jesus and Pharisees became the same?
A woman was caught in adultery
A Christian says, "Put her out of the church; she is not worthy to be a part of our fellowship, she has betrayed the faith."
A Pharisee says, "Put her to death, that is the law of Moses."
Jesus says, "Neither do I condemn you, go and DO NOT DO THIS AGAIN."
I know a woman who was dating a married man for many years
When she was doing it, she found an excuse to justify herself
She didn't do it because she was broke, hungry, or lacking
Her parents provided all that she needed, she had a job and she met the man in the course of her work
She was also a believer, with a very good standing in church
After her thirtieth birthday, she decided she was ready to get married
She began to fast and pray
She went from this mountain to that trusting God for a husband
The first suitor arrived, and they began to talk
The first thing she said was, "Cheating is a deal breaker for me."
The man agreed, and they got married.
Years later, she reached out to me and said she suspected that the man was cheating on her.
I said, "Okay"
She asked me to call him and talk to him because she could not tolerate cheating and would leave the marriage if the man persisted.
She also sent me the phone number of the other woman and asked me to call her and threaten her with God's wrath and vengeance if she does not leave her husband alone.
I told her that I cannot call the woman, but I will have a conversation with her husband and find out if what she said was true
It turned out that her husband was not cheating.
I called her and, with good evidence, showed her that her husband was not cheating.
She heaved a sigh of relief and began to scream, "I thought he was cheating, I would have done this, I would have done that, I would have burnt this down and destroyed that."
I told her that she would have done nothing.
The worst she would have done would be to leave the marriage, and another woman would have taken a place within a month.
She was shocked.
"Ha, what are you saying, sir?"
"When I discovered you were sleeping with a married man some years ago, did I condemn you?" I asked
"No, sir," she said
When you told me you wanted to move on from that relationship to become a wife to another man, did I judge you? I asked
"No, sir," She replied
I have no bone of condemnation in me.
The same way I did not condemn you, I will not condemn your husband or any woman he might have gotten involved with if he had been cheating on you.
The LORD detests differing weights, and dishonest scales do not please him.
I cannot show you the love of Christ to bring you out of an unprofitable lifestyle and then show others something else.
I am not a judge of relationships, I am not a condemner of people's lifestyle and choices
I have made my stand clear from the moment I met the Lord and chose to become an ambassador of Christ.
Christ is my message.
Christ and Christ alone.
I do not preach sin, judgment, or condemnation
I do not preach demons, evil, fire, and brimstone
I do not preach hell, death, and sickness
I did not give my life to those things, and I do not represent that brand
I represent Christ and the fullness of His life as revealed to all men, regardless of their situation, circumstances, choices, worldview, belief system, and way of life
I am full of the Holy Spirit, and I am anointed to bring the divine life of Christ to the consciousness of the people that they may see that light and become as He is.
She looked at me and said, "Sir, permit me to say this, sir, respectfully, you are weird".
"I know". I replied.
As you grow in your walk with Christ, you will come to a conclusion that is beautiful and glorious.
If you stay on Christ alone as your message, regardless of how tempting it is to jump on the bandwagon of popular opinion and pressure from those around you who are hell-bent on legislating morality and preaching right and wrong...
You will have a glorious ministry backed by the Holy Spirit in such a manner that you will not be able to explain it.
You will also have peace and an understanding of the realities of God that you cannot get from any other source.
Christ is pure, and preaching Christ makes you pure in all your ways.
Neither do I condemn you!
-GSW-
Dear CHRISTIAN,
Instead of asking, “Am I a good person?” try asking something more difficult:
Where AM I justifying actions, words, or inactions that I would have judged harshly five years ago?
Is it at work, where compromises seem unavoidable? In relationships, where staying silent feels easier than conflict?
In the words I use about others, or in the things I choose to overlook?
The difference between good and bad people isn’t about groups or beliefs. It exists in every human heart, changing with circumstances, pressure, and the stories we tell ourselves.
Awareness of that shift is the first step toward responsibility.
No one is completely immune to justifying harmful behavior, but there are ways to protect yourself.
Slow down moral decisions.
Speed favors justification and reflection restores agency.
Use concrete language.
Say what’s actually happening, not the sanitized version.
Personalize consequences. Ask who bears the cost of your choices.
Question authority. Respect it, but never outsource your conscience.
Notice discomfort. Guilt is often a signal, not an enemy.
Stay close to people different from you. Distance breeds distortion.
Most importantly, remember this:
The goal isn’t to prove you’re a good person. The goal is to stay awake to the ways you might not be.
The most unsettling realization isn’t that humans are capable of terrible things; it’s that we can do them without noticing.
Moral failure often operates quietly, wrapped in reasons, wearing the mask of normality.
The moment you believe you’re immune is when you become most vulnerable.
Awareness doesn’t make you perfect; it makes you responsible.
I am angry today.
And I am going to tell you why.
I walked into a supermarket yesterday.
Just to buy water.
And I stood in the snack aisle for five minutes looking at what Nigerian parents are feeding their children.
Every single item on that shelf was wheat flour, sugar, seed oil, and artificial flavouring.
Every. Single. One.
Biscuits?
Wheat, sugar, vegetable oil.
Chin chin?
Wheat, sugar, vegetable oil.
Packaged cakes?
Wheat, sugar, vegetable oil.
Fruit drinks?
Sugar water with a picture of an orange on the box.
Cereals?
Sugar coated in more sugar and sprayed with synthetic vitamins so they can print “fortified” on the front.
And the prices?
A family spending 2,000 a day on snacks is spending 60,000 a month on food that is actively destroying their children’s metabolic health.
For that same 60,000, you could buy eggs, fish, vegetables, yam, plantain, palm oil, and coconut oil.
Real food.
The kind that builds brains, bones, and immune systems instead of diabetes at 30.
The food industry does not care about your child’s health.
It cares about repeat purchases.
And the easiest way to guarantee repeat purchases is to make food addictive.
Sugar does that.
MSG does that.
Artificial flavouring does that.
Your child is not choosing these foods.
They are being engineered to crave them.
And you are paying for the engineering.
Read the label.
Count the ingredients.
If it has more chemicals than food, put it back on the shelf.
Your child’s future is worth more than convenience.

Fight For Their Future
A mother called me to tell me her daughter was driving her crazy
The girl was fifteen years old and was living with her mother, stepfather, and step-siblings in the UK
There is this usual psychological distance experienced by children who were born from a previous union and now brought into a new union between their parent and a new parent
There is this usual psychological distance experienced by children who were born from a previous union and are now brought into a new union between their parents and a new parent picture as they were being raised
However, if the new parent does not accept them or treat them as his own, they see themselves as interlopers who are being tolerated and are really unwanted in the family
If their stepparent tries to discipline them or correct them, they feel he or she really has no right to do so because he or she is not their parent.
The stepparent, in most cases, would just give them some distance because he or she knows his or her labour over the stepchild would most likely go unrewarded and unappreciated
This child, who finds himself or herself as a third wheel in the family, feels unsettled in many cases, and this influences the kind of friendships and decisions they take when they get to a certain age
They begin to find a space where they could belong outside of the home provided for them by their parent
Suddenly, this young lady began to associate with white students in her class, and she learnt their ways
From sleepovers to hanging out, her mother noticed that her attitude had changed as she took on a very rebellious posture
The mother responded by grounding her
"No sleepovers, no hanging out with white friends, no phones, no internet, just study!"
She got to school and reported to the school authority that she was being abused at home
Her mother was away at the office when the social services representative visited the house to ask questions about how the young lady was being raised
They met her stepfather, who was a medical doctor and had always steered clear of interfering in all the issues relating to the young lady.
She was his daughter only by marriage, not by blood, and he had lived in the United Kingdom for many years and seen many men whose lives were ruined by their stepdaughters simply because they got too close or meddled too much in their affairs
He had promised himself he would not be a victim and had kept away from the drama between the young lady and her mother deliberately.
The social service staff was wrapping up her interview with the stepdad when the mother arrived
From the reply the man had given, the mother felt the social service staff would have concluded that he didn't care a bit about the young lady, and this might mean trouble
She persuaded the staff to stay a bit longer to provide some context and clarity to the investigation
When the interview was finally over, the social service staff advised the couple to draw the young lady closer and give her whatever she wanted
She was a UK citizen, and they are not.
She could be taken away from them if she does not stop complaining.
When the young lady returned home that day, her mother changed the rules completely
No more hanging out with white girls, no more walking home from school with her white friends.
Her mother was convinced that it was the white girls who were teaching her daughter everything she was doing.
How else could a well-behaved young lady suddenly become such a terror overnight?
In response, her daughter embarked on a hunger strike.
She suddenly lost so much weight within two weeks that the school authority had to call the attention of the social services again.
This time, they recommended that she speak with a psychiatrist, a child psychologist, a doctor, a nutritionist, and so on
The mother began to spend most of her time taking her from one hospital to another and filing reports with the social services and the school to document her efforts and establish that she loves her child and does not want the government to take the child from her
The child, on the other hand, refused to eat. Her mother knew why, and so did she.
Her mother was determined that she must be separated from her white friends if she wouldn't go bad in life, and the daughter was determined to have her freedom of association at all costs
They were both matching in stubbornness
The doctor's report was not encouraging; the weight of the young lady continued to drop drastically
Eventually, the mother informed the school authority and social services that her mother needed some attention in Africa, and she would have to travel to Africa with her daughter so that she could continue to care for her while also taking care of her mother.
She got the approval and travelled to Africa with her daughter.
When they got to her parents' house, she told her daughter she would not be returning to the UK with her but would be enrolled in a very good school in Africa at least until she completed her secondary school education.
This had been the mother's plan all along; she felt a change of environment would help her daughter reconsider her decisions and lead to a change of perspective.
A week later, the mother returned to the UK and all hell broke loose. Her daughter's white friends had gone to the school authority to report her sudden disappearance, and the school had gotten the child services department involved
They visited the family and started asking questions.
Where is the child? Who is she with? Which doctors are attending to her?
The mother provided all the details
The UK embassy sent people to verify all the provided facts by visiting the new school the young lady was enrolled in, her child psychologist, her doctor, her nutritionist, and her grandmother in Africa.
A report was made, and letters were written to the appropriate licensing agencies for both her stepfather and mother, requesting that their licenses be terminated and their jobs taken unless they produce the child whom they had maltreated by abandoning her in Africa.
At this point, the mother reached out to me.
She said she had prayed and fasted and was losing her faith
Her husband had been put under pressure by her office due to the letter from the child services department, and he was not taking it lightly, especially because he had always steered clear of the young lady
She was also under pressure and could lose her job
The childcare department had sent letters to the embassy, and could forcefully remove her daughter from Africa if they deemed that to be the best course of action
She just wanted them to drop the case.
I listened to her and felt the pains of a mother. I also understand what it takes to raise a child who is fighting her demons and willing to go toe to toe with you in resolving internal conflicts, which you know nothing about.
I counselled her not to let the issue with her daughter ruin her marriage. Her husband had also been put in an awkward position on the issue and should not be blamed for not participating enough in the discipline of raising her daughter.
Raising someone else's child is often a thankless job, especially in the course of a marriage. On graduation and wedding days, the biological parents get to steal the show, whereas he or she contributed the least in raising the child.
Most step-parents do not want to end up heartbroken and would therefore not get involved in such an emotional venture as raising a child they inherited through marriage.
We prayed.
I liked her case and her pragmatic approach to solving the problem, rather than allowing some psychiatrist to recommend treatments that could ruin the child's life in the name of trying to help.
I have seen many of such cases in the past.
In Africa, her daughter adjusted
She made new friends and ended her hunger strike
She gained weight and began to act normally
She knew she had made the right decision
She just wanted the UK authorities to allow her to raise her child the best way she could.
God answered our prayers.
We prayed on September 11, and by October 2nd, the Child Services department wrote to her stating that they had closed the case.
Her husband also wrote to the licensing agencies and was replied with a letter acknowledging his decision to put himself forward on the matter and assuring him that the case had been investigated and he had no case to answer on the matter
The case was completely over
Glory be to God.
PS: I heard devastating news yesterday. A young man whose mother reached out to me several months ago was declared dead.
When the mother reached out to me for prayers, it was for a case in a foreign country against the teenager
As we prayed, I asked the mother if it was possible for her to change the young man's environment because it seemed he was going in the direction of Balaam, son of Be'or.
The mother said she will think about it.
The young man was released from the foreign country's jail where he had languished for over a year, brought back to the old environment, and sadly, was reported dead yesterday.
I know as parents we can't always predict which direction the wind will shift regarding our children; however, if you see that the environment your child grew up in his shaping him or her in a negative way, it is always advisable to change that environment for their own good
Resist the urge to always defend your 'person.' Sometimes, keep quiet if you can't bring yourself to justly critique the person – when it is deserved.
Keep quiet.

Adapting To Sudden Wealth
I met a lady who worked in the bookshop of a church I once worked at several years ago
The lady was single, and she lived with her parents in their house in Shangisha
She was a graduate of OOU
She is of a very short height and moderate beauty
She also has a very warm heart, and she is of a very generous nature
One day, the pastor of the church heard that this lady had bought a car
A Toyota Avalon that at the time was sold for about 1.2 million Naira
The pastor was shocked
This lady came from a poor background
She was earning eighty thousand Naira a month
She was not in any notable relationship
How could she afford such a car?
Where did she get the money from?
The pastor's wife laughed and told the pastor that it was likely the lady was making money off the books she was selling in the bookshop
It was the only logical conclusion
She was not the kind of lady a man would just buy a car for out of the blue
The pastor ordered an audit of the bookshop
He was very sure the lady was doing something illegal and he was determined to catch her
The auditors worked meticulously for a week, but they found all the books in order
The pastor summoned the lady and stylishly interrogated her, but she saw through it and refused to explain herself to the pastor
She said, "God did it".
A week later, the pastor announced that the church would need to employ a new bookshop manager as he intended to transfer the lady to another department in the church
The lady came to my office at this point and said, "Brother Gbenga, why is the pastor doing this?"
I explained to her that the pastor was not comfortable with her explanation as to how she got the money to buy her car
Many church members were equally shocked that she could afford to buy a car
The salary paid to church workers was barely enough for them to be able to feed themselves throughout the month, and somehow, the bookshop attendant bought a brand new car
It was too suspicious to ignore, and when you cannot get a logical answer to a puzzle, you are required to shake things up as a leader.
The lady kept quiet
The following month, she was transferred to the church administration office as an admin assistant.
That month, she bought a Toyota RAV 4, while she still kept the Toyota Avalon
She invited the pastor and all the other church staff to the car dedication, and the pastor was the one who was given the honour of dedicating the car.
The pastor asked her what she intended to do with the Avalon
She said she had employed a driver who would be using the car to drive her parents whenever they needed to go anywhere.
It was too much for the pastor to bear
On a salary of eighty thousand Naira, she bought two cars in two months and employed a driver for her parents.
How?
The pastor called me to his office and said, "Something is fishy, and if sister D does not explain herself logically this time, I might have no option but to sack her. I don't want to be in a scandal. I don't want to be preaching one Sunday, and EFCC or NDLEA will arrive here with guns and start arresting people.
I will not be the pastor of a criminal
Is she moving with fraudsters or dating a fraudster?
If she cannot explain this wealth, I cannot keep her as a staff."
I agree with the pastor
Many church members were curious too
Three of us. Myself, the Chief Security Officer of the church, the head of the church administration, went to see this sister in her office.
We told her the pastor has been put in a very tenuous situation, and he might have to sack her if she does not give a reason for her sudden wealth outside of "Jesus did it."
The sister said, "I attended OOU. While I was there, I shared a three-bedroom flat with five other ladies.
My roommate was a very beautiful lady, and she caught the attention of some seriously rich people. One of them was a former president of Nigeria.
The man took her as his lover, and he showered her with many gifts, including cars and houses.
In our final year, the lady was travelling to see him when the plane she boarded crashed.
She died.
I was her roommate, and I had access to all her property documents and everything else she left behind
Her parents didn't know she was in such a relationship, and neither did our other friends.
In all, she had five houses and three cars, and five buses that she was using to run an interstate transport business.
I waited a year, gathered up all her documents, and I went to see this man.
My intention was to hand over all the properties to him so that he could help sort them out, especially the money in some bank accounts which she had but nobody knew about.
The income from her houses and the cars were trapped in one bank and I had no idea what to do.
This man made some calls and handed me over to another man who helped to sort out everything.
It took a year, but at the end of the day, the funds were all repatriated, and an account was set up with me as the signatory so that I could move the funds at will.
When we were done, I went back to give him the report, and he told me to keep the properties and the proceeds.
Everything.
We sorted this out just two months ago.
I have all the documents with me.
Money is not my issue."
She showed us the documents, and we were satisfied.
I was of the opinion that she should resign and do something better with her life
Travel abroad, see the world, live a full life, and enjoy the windfall.
She said she did not want to flaunt money while she was still unmarried
I asked her why she bought the cars, if she didn't want to flaunt the money
She said they changed the transportation policy within Magodo Phase 2 at the time, which led to the ban on motorcycles. This made it difficult for her to get to the office daily. She said it was for the same reason that she bought the second car for her parents.
Her one heart's cry was for God to give her a husband.
She said all the men she had met never stayed, and the reason was quite obvious in my opinion.
I felt that if she flaunted the wealth a bit, travelled, and repositioned herself, it could bring her into new circles and a fresh network of people, and perhaps she could find a husband that way.
PS: When I resigned from that church, she was still working there
The pastor posted her back to the bookshop as the manager
I shared this story to buttress a conversation I was having earlier about women and their ability to sit on money without allowing it to change their nature or course in life.
Most men will react to money in a different way
As soon as it comes in, it changes everything from their clothing to their status to their friends and lifestyle. Meanwhile, I have seen ladies selling charcoal, looking ragged and poor, while their business empire is worth millions.
The money didn’t change them in any way
