I know a lot of other services do the same, but I'd rather have a % taken or an upfront payment per song than worry about my discography being wiped eventually.
Regardless of if I do rebrand, I'll try to migrate the affected songs so they'll be available when I can. π
If anyone was wondering where a bunch of my music went on streaming platforms, I didn't take them down myself.
I've used @SoundCloud distribution since it was still independent under Repost Network. It's sad they decided to do this if you aren't maintaining a subscription.
@aldengroves I've seen a lot of instances of people releasing music under big artists through DistroKid because of how easy it is, as well as music being accidentally placed on similar named profiles β― but having your Spotify for Artists profile being taken over is a new one. π€
