Dad to 3 amazing young women, husband to my best friend, die hard VT Hokie and Glasgow Ranger. Educational nomad. Craft beer connoisseur. Pickleball is life.
My brother Chris passed away peacefully at 8:10 PM on Saturday, December 4. We have been blessed by so much kindness and thoughts and prayers. He was an extraordinary talent and a wonderful person. My best friend throughout my life. He is deeply loved.
Dallas, here they come 🤠

Never assume you know what burdens others are carrying. Instead, ask. You will be surprised how powerful it is to give someone permission to share.
Good night moon.
@JoJoFromJerz I absolutely loved Northern Exposure! I built my schedule around it (back when you had to do that). I even visited Roslyn, WA, the town where it was filmed and have a picture in front of the mural. That’s the one!
@TBGoPokes I don’t think so, but regardless you’ve got to score with 3 chances from the 1 yard line. Too much focus on the bad (perhaps) call and not enough on the next play when UM shot themselves in the foot. Refs may have impacted that play, but Big Blue left no doubt on the next one.
I consider December 14th, 2012 the single darkest day of my presidency. The news from Sandy Hook Elementary was devastating, a visceral blow, and like so many others, I felt not just sorrow but anger at a world that could allow such things to happen.
@Braden_Keith If any part of the head breaks at the 15, then it’s not a DQ. Our training gives the benefit of the doubt to the swimmer. If he called it, which he did (you see his hand up on the near side as the swimmer comes back), then he saw it. It’s a DQ. (2/2)
@Braden_Keith I’m an official and we would have to see the view from where the official is standing. The official ignores the lane line, and uses the fixed marker on the pool deck. When I have the 15m mark, I align my foot on the marker with my dominant eye and watch straight across. (1/2)
