@MrsNickyClark@jk_rowling@rickygervais I’ve never understood the term ‘self diagnosed’, an oxymoron if ever there was. I believed I was autistic for many years, and that’s exactly why I sought an un-biased clinical expert to validate this view.
Joined .@ZipcarUK to rent a van to move some stuff, only to discover they don’t have ANY vans in my area - you can’t confirm this until you’ve paid your membership fee. In most business sectors this would be called #misrepresentation I don’t recommend them #Avoid#zipcar
@Transmission001@TheHoonigans Ken was a smart and remarkably humble guy, very approachable and a pleasure to meet. I interviewed him several times over the years and each time found so much more to him than merely a great driver. He will be sorely missed. 😔
Very sad to hear that such a scarce resource is no longer available to patients. I was grateful to spend time with its founder, Prof Barbara Wilson and receive support from her team for what remains a very neglected area of therapy. @HeadwayUK#braininjury#neurorehab
ADVANCED NOTICE: The outcome of the public consultation means that the centre will officially close on 30 June 2022. This account will close shortly after. We would like to thank everyone who has worked/ volunteered at the centre and wish our clients well in their journey.
@michaelgove said this morning “.. viruses tend to develop in a way whereby they become less harmful but more widespread.”
But there is no biological evidence of this ever being the case. Trying to predict virulence evolution is a mug’s game, so don’t. https://t.co/TNoJ2KxRdX

@triathannie@BorisJohnson It’s called a compound risk; when multiple risks occur simultaneously (mixing at school + play date), the overall risk will be greater than each individual risk in isolation. The ‘cat has nine lives’ is perhaps a longitudinal example
@utafrith Would love to see this research extend to consider neuroplasticity between the DMN and other major brain regions, because ToM is context specific - it’s much easier to mentalise when not focusing on our own interests @social_brains
@rachaelvdavis@cjcrompton Recognising the DEP and DMH are important steps, but the true problem lies deeper - future research must recognise the differing intents (and therefore appetites) between neurotypes and how we engage in a highly socialised world full of norms and pre-conditions.

Today's focus is on two exceptional racers who appeared at the Media Day test but were unable to compete due to the impact of COVID-19.
What a very different season we might have had . .
@ARC_Cambridge@sbaroncohen Like Network Rail. Where sensory signals are like trains; some get cancelled, some are delayed and others come screaming into the station to the accompaniment of blue flashing lights 🆘 and loud sirens.. 🚨
And to make matters worse, you never know which train you’ll get 😠
