When learner drivers start to use motorways from 4 June, remember Rule 217 of the @HighwayCodeGB:
Learners and inexperienced drivers. They may not be so skilful at anticipating and responding to events. Be particularly patient with learner drivers and young drivers.
Learners can take professional motorway lessons from 4 June: Use rule 259 of @highwaycodegb When you join the motorway you will normally approach it from a road on the left (a slip road) or from an adjoining motorway. You should give priority to traffic already on the motorway.
From Monday 4 June 2018, learners be able to take driving lessons on the motorway with an approved driving instructor in a car with dual controls.
It's entirely voluntary, and it won't be part of the driving test.
