you can use your rewards to level up your horses (better position %, better rewards overall)
you can use your rewards to open chests
you can use your rewards to mint stuff
you can use your rewards to craft and upgrade items
you can recycle items before they break (consumables) to get scrap metal/leather
then you can use that scrap to upgrade unbreakeable items, or create medal bags (minteable, super valuable)

there you can create a simulation to see your current winrate, what it would cost you to level up to the desired level, and what your %winrate will be

It's usually cheaper to buy leveled-up horses as they are kinda expensive to level up, but really worthy:
- at level 5, you can't place #10
- at level 10, you can't get #9 (so all races get rewards)
- your podium chances increases (#1-2-3 get medals)
- your overall winrate increases
- you unlock 1 breeding per level (only for origin horses, they also have a breeding cap based on rarity, but you need to level them up in order to breed it all)

Prices might go down when breeding launches, but we don't really know, as new horses (if breeding right) will have better base-stats, and therefore, better overall stats at higher levels
