Peter Demong kicked me out of his office in five minutes. Come to his townhall at the Midnapore school (55 Midpark Rise SE) from 5:30-7:30 and tell him what you think!

I had a meeting scheduled with Peter Demong today at city hall, and it ended with him kicking me out of his office and his staff threatening to call security. My meeting was scheduled for 11:30 this morning, I began the meeting by asking him about his voting record, specifically him voting to support at burka ban in QUEBEC that cost tax payers $75,000, then I asked him why he voted for an $87 billion climate emergency and if he actually read through the legislation before rubber stamping it, and finally I brought up the re-zoning legislation and told him that he wasn't doing enough to fight for Calgarians or enough to prevent the plan from going through.
I spoke about how I went to his town hall event on Tuesday, and I saw how dismissive he was of me and his constituents and I called him out on it, comparing him to a snake that is attempting to slither through his term pursuing his own interests and ignoring the needs of his constituents. At that point I was kicked out of his office and his staff threatened to call security to get us removed from city hall. The meeting lasted 5 minutes.
All of this, the recall petition, started because Peter Demong hung up on me and refused to listen to his voters, and after 2 months, he continues to show contempt for his voters.
Bad news for Demong, I'm not done, I won't be silenced, and Calgarians won't be ignored any longer!
Peter Demong is holding a town hall on rezoning tonight, Thursday, April 11, from 5:30-7:30 at the Midnapore school (55 Midpark Rise SE). I am going to be there and I need you there with me! Show up. Make noise. Whether you support or oppose rezoning, come and make sure your voice is heard. He can't silence us all. He can't kick us all out! Either he listens to us tonight, or we will find a councilor that will!
