@mclaughlan57 Not all Travellers work cash in hand. Many work for large construction companies, taring motorways etc. They pay taxes. Many work in other normal jobs and pay taxes. Yes a lot of them are self employed but no different to other cash in hand workers.
@hev194 Money in a mattress loses value every year by the rate of inflation, more than any tax you'd have to pay on interest. Unless you're saving more than ยฃ12,000 in cash it won't affect you.
@Jd95975184 He's not taxing anybody's money just reducing the tax isa allowance. You can still save up to ยฃ12,000 in a cash isa tax free or ยฃ20,000 in an investment one. Cash in a mattress loses money at the rate of inflation, losing more money than if it was taxed.
@nawtheclaw I'm not advantaged, far from it, but I've always lived a simple life. I couldn't afford to live another way. You don't have to be lucky or advantaged if you really want to do it.
@ArchRose90 He's a British citizen, Ethnically Indian and culturally English. Does it matter as long as he behaves like a decent human being and supports the country. If he was white no one would question his ethnicity, e.g Michael Portillo, Guy Martin, etc
@Grymma You don't have to use the app. I use it by just calling the number, as I don't have a smart phone. It bit of a faff to first set up but easy after that.
@NotFarLeftAtAll What about the hundreds of millions we've already given them since independence. ยฃ25 million for a new prison, fairly recently as well as millions to fight crime and fund their justice system.
@JamesMelville Flower of Scotland is not our national anthem. Scotland the Brave was always played until fairly recently, and before that Scots Wha Hae. Flower of Scotland seems to be a more popular choice recently but not an official anthem.
@vachon49995 He's wearing the uniform of the Police band that he serves in, he doesn't have a choice of what to wear. Their uniform was approved by the king in 1939
