Community engagement this afternoon; a demo for the mini police at North Ormesby Primary Academy. The pupils seemed to really enjoy it.

Over the past few days, our drones have assisted with an off road motorbike operation, rural crime prevention, crime scene photos and identifying cannabis farms (no photos available of the latter).
One of our thermal drones was put to good use this morning, identifying a suspiciously warm building (cannabis farm). We plan to identify more properties in the coming weeks.
Further drone patrols today at #EstonHills, assisting Eston NPT and Cleveland Fire Brigade in tackling anti social behaviour.

Our drones were tasked with taking crime scene photos in Redcar this morning, near to the High Street. The beach was the perfect place to take off from.
Two productive meetings this week with Cleveland Fire Brigade and Harbour Police, discussing how we can work together with drones. Sandwiched between searching for missing people and cannabis farms, it has been a good few days.
PC Kit Teasdale successfully used a drone in the early hours of this morning, locating a burglary suspect in the Redcar area. One person arrested. Great result!
Further drone patrols today at #EstonHills and Guisborough Woods. The scale of the horrendous fire damage is vast. We will continue to patrol on a regular basis.

Yesterday our drones were deployed to #EstonHills in an attempt to identify those responsible for causing fires. With the support of @Cleveland_PCC we will be deploying again in the coming days.

This morning PC Teasdale deployed a drone in Redcar near to the High Street which assisted in the apprehension of a suspect wanted for various offences. Great work by all officers involved!
PC Matt Simpson completing a congested area assessment this morning at Newport Bridge, Middlesbrough. Our pilots are receiving training allowing them to fly in such areas.
Training outside of Cleveland this week with https://t.co/EIMKFdZeZZ. Firstly at the excellent indoor and congested area facility at Carr Gate, West Yorkshire with @WYP_Drones. Then onto the very scenic Egglestone Abbey. A lot learnt and great to see how other forces operate.
This morning we have been testing our thermal imaging camera near to the empty football pitches at Middlesbrough Sports Village. The camera is an excellent tool which will assist us in protecting vulnerable people as well as preventing and detecting crime.
After being grounded for a short time, our drones are now back in use. They are not being used for anything COVID related. Today's flight was a training exercise in Middlesbrough. Thank you to Middlesbrough Municipal Golf Centre for letting us use their course #drones
insightful programme focusing on #asb from gangs of YPs riding scrambler bikes. Exploring the impact on the community versus no where legal to go & no diversionary activity. Excellent police disruption tactics! #asbawarenessweek @BBCRadio4 https://t.co/ZEIgwksBj0
