Had a great time with the hangs in vegas. The sealed experience of all events was kind of miserable.
I think we are going to see an unprecedented amount of salt this week as the arena direct is lasting a week and so bomb heavy.
Some food pics from the week end.
@CallMeBoostin I mean high end promos given out at events like this in general. In time as more inventory enters the market overall the appetite for more of these tends to slow down a bit.
I think its pretty great. Theyre creating a more varied meta and when the price of these eventually comes down as more enter the market hardcore grinders will adjust their goals.
Its important to note that RQs are pretty much mtg GPs. PTs and Worlds will be different i suspect.
Maybe I’m too PT brained but I’m seeing competitive players say they made a mistake trying to win the tournament bc the prize support pales in comparison to what someone will pay for the Ahri.
This kind of motivation is much less sustainable as a long term OP model.
Honestly my life is dope. Weather in Toronto has been perfect, work has been great, this set feels reasonable.
being on the PT was a little too much for me and ive been peaceful enjoying limited and going to go hard for the team GP.
Hope everyone is enjoying the summer too!
@mattccosta yea to be fair it was less stressful and i had a good time, I just don't really want to constantly be thinking about constructed mtg at this point of my life. 1 PT here and there is a much better speed for me.
@thatCHARM3R I think its doing what hasbro wants though. Its become pretty much the best selling board game in the world by a large margin. Its not the game we grew up on and others are coming up to try to fill that role but commander and crossovers is making them more than ever.
"is Echo the ninja or the big guy getting kicked in the face? because if its the big guy hes not being very perceptive."- @NEO_MTG on limited level up set review.
Missed this kind of insight, never leave us again Marc.
My experience on PT testing teams in the last year taught me theres 2 type of teams.
Theres the teams who get a pool at the Vegas testing houses and the ones who don’t. The pool people are more chill and fun but the no pool having people win the Pro Tour.
