Additional CIA involvement with George Soros example:

A Lithuanian newspaper called Respublika, was the second-largest daily at the time

It ran a multi-day series attacking George Soros, his Open Society Fund in Lithuania, and local NGOs and think tanks receiving its funding.

The articles portrayed Soros as a “billionaire meddler with CIA ties” seeking to undermine political stability via civil society groups.
