@ltmarc I regret not using a bigger magnet as well.
Last time I used really big magnets and they started interacting with each other all over the kit lol.
@ltmarc I think I might just glue it back after painting. I mostly did it because I find myself assembling and dissembling too many times to see how things look together.
In case anyone is curious, the rods are actually pretty secured.
I started by drilling a hole from the bottom, insert pieces of the wider rod and then drill a small hole in the center of the rod again.
The wider rod than get inserted at the other end to fill up the hole.
A few people pointed out the modification might be fragile.
I should have been more clear. Instead of just gluing pieces on the notch, I actually drilled a hole from the bottom side of the piece and pushed a single plastic rod upward.
Then I fill back the hole.
@TylerTinsley 🤔 not exactly sure what you mean but I do plan on filling the lowered area with half cylinder tubes like you would typically see in MG elbows / knee joints.
I have been thinking how I can scratch build round fingers for a long time.
It is definitely one of those times where I was too occupied with whether I could but never stopped to think if I should.
For what it provided, it was waaaaaay too time consuming.
