We build wells & sanitation systems at schools throughout sub-Saharan #Africa, enabling youth to fully harness the life-changing power of an #education.
July 9th marks Independence Day in South Sudan. 13 yrs ago, the world's youngest nation emerged from Africa's longest civil war. Despite many challenges, the country is moving forward. We are proud to work with teachers, students, officials, & parents striving for a better future
Our team in South Sudan had a busy weekend distributing hygiene kits to over 1400 primary students in Eastern Equatoria for our Menstruation is Healthy campaign. #MHM#SouthSudan#dropinthebucket
New report from WHO & UNICEF says millions of lives could be saved & billions in economic losses prevented through water, sanitation & hygiene at health care centers. In 2020 we started drilling wells for health centers in Uganda here is a story from one https://t.co/7H2Tr50ZlP
As the end of my 365 walks in 2022 approaches (311/365 completed, 2.25 million steps & 1572 km so far) I've created a JustGiving page. https://t.co/HymqcK8XgL. The charity is @DropInTheBucket who provide clean water and sanitation in sub-Saharan Africa. Please support if you can.
If you have an interest in helping out @DropInTheBucket, I will be running a campaign leading up to #WorldWaterDay MAR 22. I know the #NFTCommunity has the ability to blow this out of the water (sorry I am over 40--puns are a way of life).
I plan on doing a series of 4 pieces myself starting with "Labor" inspired by Drop's cause and the works of @clairesilver and @beautyandpunk. I am hoping that some of you are inspired to get involved. I will be putting "Labor" up for auction with 100% going to @DropInTheBucket
"You might be poor, your shoes might be broken, but your mind is your royal palace. Dreaming is not illegal, so we dream."
Dr @IsoobaMoses speaking at World Café
So for @DropInTheBucket I am going to do a generative piece to put up for auction. I am not sure this is ready yet, but this is where I am at with the computer in Ai art land.
I call it "Labor" Women and water both can bring life.
They are important and I want to support them.
One of the charities I am planning on helping is @DropInTheBucket
Why: They help dig wells in Uganda and Sudan
Why: They need water
Why else: Girls that don't have to carry water can get an education
Why else: so many reasons.
