I think if I was to ever do a Blade story, I would make him younger and set it in Japan. I think it would be cool to not only focus on Vampires, but stronger eldritch horrors and in this universe give a different origin as to how he got his iconic shades. Maybe he got them from an old Yakuza member or something. It kind of writes itself. I think writing this kind of story as an Iaido student and from then perspective of a foreigner and lover of horror and action and emotional storytelling, I could come up with a fresh take on the character. But since it’s a long shot, I must put this kind of energy in my own work for now. Maybe Ultimate Blade? I’m kidding. This is a silly idea. Hahaha
