What is is with catholics/ nationalists that in any moment of winning ie. Boxing / football / gaa etc.. they have to glorify IRA terrorism... what a strange and embarrassing culture they have!!!
@chrisadonnelly Great to see a community event, would like to see a more cross community event for the city, don’t know how many Protestants would be welcome to hear “up the ra” chants, but sure that’s acceptable isn’t it Chris
Well said Colum, would be better if our so called “Minister for all” would condemn it as well, or @chrisadonnelly@GerryKellyMLA@JoeBrolly1993 but sure it was justified wasn’t it, what a joke
Today marks 50 years since nine people were killed and more injured in the heinous bombing of Claudy by the IRA.
I’m thinking of the families of those killed and of all the people of Claudy today. They have proven that hate and division will never win.

No word from @sinnfeinireland@chrisadonnelly@JoeBrolly1993 nothing, the murder and slaughter of innocent men, women and children are justified in their eyes. But @moneillsf is supposed to be First minister for all, a joke
This day, 50 years ago, is etched in my memory. I was in Claudy on the day the IRA blew the place to pieces. Remembering Rose McLaughlin, Patrick Connolly, David Miller, Kathryn Eakin, Joseph McCluskey, Elizabeth McElhinney,William Temple, Arthur Hone & James McClelland.
Another needless senseless killing by thugs pretending it was justified, just like Claudy, La Mon, Ballymurphy, Greysteel, Enniskillen and too many more to mention…it’s time @sinnfeinireland@duponline call out all of these as wrong, not justified and move forward to peace
@chrisadonnelly But still no condemnation of youths chanting “Up the Ra”, I wonder is this sanitised version of history that is being taught in your school, breeding hate at a young level
This is Ulster Fleadh.
An event funded by Fermanagh & Omagh District Council & the Arts Council of NI.
Discover NI describe it as “events the entire family can enjoy…displaying the best of Irish culture.”
It is in fact the glorification of sectarian terrorism. Cut funds now.
@LeonaONeill1@MartinJMagill I think there is an agenda on both sides to justify all murderous actions of the past, there is no realisation from younger kids of the realities of what it was like during the troubles, when kids see events glorifying the UDA/UVF/IRA they see it as normal behaviour
@chrisadonnelly But nothing from you on the Dromore Ulster Fleadh incident? Young kids signing “Up the Ra” faux outrage from the DUP is one thing, that was ridiculous but young people glorifying an organisation that killed innocent catholic and Protestant people is wrong,
