HERO: Delaware State Police have identified the trooper killed in Tuesday’s shooting at a Wilmington DMV as Matthew T. Snook.

Known as “Ty,” the 34-year-old corporal was a 10-year veteran of the Delaware State Police from Hockessin. Authorities say he was working an overtime shift when he was fatally shot, acting to protect others in the building.

He is survived by his wife and his one-year-old daughter.
