Dry-Guadalmed project was funded by the Spanish Ministerio de Ciencia e Innovación at the call 2021 «Proyectos de Generación de Conocimiento». Two-subprojects lidered by @nurietabonada, @ncidpuey and @mariasmontoya75 in collaboration with an amazing research team.

During the last weeks, different Dry-Guadalmed teams are sampling disconencted pools and dry riverbeds in several Mediterranean river basins in Spain (Segura, Júcar, Ebro, Guadalquivir and Internal basins of Catalonia).
Guillermo Quevedo-Ortiz (@FEHMLab), Zeus Freixinos (@UMU), with the support of Jose Manuel Tierno de Figueroa and Manuel López-Rodríguez (@CanalUGR ), are sampling dry riverbeds and disconnected pools in the Guadalquivir river basin.
This year the main Dry-Guadalmed goal is to sample 100 disconnected pools and 100 dry riverbeds along Llobregat, Ter, Besós, Ebro, Menorca, Tajo, Júcar, Segura, Guadiana and Guadalquivir river basins.💪
This month we met at Segura river basin to ckeck Dry-Guadalmed protocols designed for sampling: aquatic and terrestrial invertebrates, diatoms, physico-chemical parameters and hydro-morphological characteristics in disconnected pools and dry channels.
