Went for a long walk the other day and found some trees where the leaves had started to turn 🍁 Doesn't usually happen where I live. It made my longing for a "real fall" a bit better

@archaichoney You'd be surprised. It's simply advice to take care in not lumping witchcraft as one thing, for example, that they all work with earthen energies. We have to take care in our words, especially for those of us like you and I who carry years of experience. That's all 💜

@archaichoney Sure it can and often does but not everyone. When I was Kemetic for the first 7 or 8 years of my path I didn't work with the earth or earth energies. Only when I became a Druid did I begin to focus on those aspects. Witches are varied and so are their practices.

@archaichoney I can't say where witchcraft comes from or what makes witchcraft work. But I have known witches who have 0 to do with the earth and are still very active in their own practices. It's not up to us to gatekeep what is and isn't witchcraft. It's a varied practice.

@archaichoney Also witchcraft is not earth based. It's witchcraft. What you're describing is more in line with Earth based Pagan paths like Wicca and Druidry. Witchcraft is widely varied and a practice not a religion. Best we don't exclude witches who's paths don't include earth veneration.

@archaichoney Things come and go as trends. Back when I became a witch in 2006 there was a similar thing happening. As time went on most newcomers moved on to the next big trend leaving witchcraft as it was. Give it time. Support new witches and try to teach a healthier way of spirituality
