I was married for 12 years and I am proud of how we chose to cover the divorce from the public.
My advice to Ellah is simple: don’t air your dirty laundry on the internet.
No matter what has happened, remember that this is still the man you chose to marry, and that home, whether people approve of it or not,is the home you have been living in for the last few months.
The public cannot heal your marriage, and the public cannot heal your heartbreak. All they will do is consume the story and move on to the next one.
If the marriage has come to an end, handle it with wisdom, dignity, and maturity. Protect your peace, protect your future, and protect yourself. Not every private matter needs a public audience.
Sometimes silence speaks louder than exposing everything. 🙏🏾♥️

Parenting / lessons
There isn’t a book good enough out there that can prepare anyone for parenting especially for people like me who didn’t grow up with our parents!
A young man then I was forced to think a lot before making decisions and along the way I learnt what works and what doesn’t not fully though.
We didn’t want our children in boarding schools as the first thing and my wife decided to be a house wife since I had a better source of income.
My income is enough for our family and we aren’t generally a very wasteful lot, we leave pretty much simply life relative to what we do.
I for example drive a 25 old car but well maintained, I believe that one way in which one can help family or as an individual improve financially is maintaining what you have.
Among the few things I learnt was school for Children and work should determine where you either build your home or rent, anything outside would stress you.
We rented a usd 200 small house in nsambya estates, our children went to rainbow international school, not far from our home. My office was at Susie house, a walking distance from home for me.
We had one small car which was mainly for the family at home and I could use it over the weekends. I walked to office and used public means if I needed to go to town and even the bank services were next door.
Anyways, when children started getting older, they realized our home was nothing compared to their classmates, the car we dropped them to school wasn’t of a good standard.
Children are curious and you must educate them. One time my daughter asked me if I was too poor to afford certain things she had seen at her friends. I asked her if we had failed to pay fees? She said no!
Haven’t you seen your classmates being sent home for not paying school fees, we live this so can afford to pay school fees and as she grew older, she started understand better.
Children discuss their parents with colleagues at school which is normal at that stage. One day she said, a friend said we were poor and I told her my dad knows how to handle money.
My son at that early stage wanted badly to support me so we can have some things he thought we should have. He always wanted to work with me from age of 4 which was good.
Recently he told me, when I was young I wanted you get better and when we visited primate lodge, I could take a lot of say sodas thinking that the more I drink the better for business.
Am organizing an invoice for him now and I don’t need advise on this please
"One day, I'm going to meet you" ❤️
