@the_stle1@MalazofWesteros Only book 1 is out so far, but it's cool. In my opinion, most of the book is good but not revolutionary--but then the ending kicks things up a notch and promises interesting things for the rest of the series.
@AlysssaHazel Yes. Low fantasy is set in the real world with fantastical elements intruding, while high fantasy is set in a secondary world. People often conflate high-/low-magic fantasy with high/low fantasy, but that's incorrect. GoT, for example, is low-magic high fantasy, not low fantasy.
@JoeBerne1 You can only spell it "ork" if they act like Warhammer 40K orks, despite being in a cozy fantasy. In the grim darkness of the far future, there is only a snug little tea shop run by a kindly gnome.
@KimKatieUSA Why does this chucklefuck actually have his gun drawn? While rolling around on the street, unable to restrain a single person despite help from his fascist buddies, he dropped his weapon. So he grabbed it & started pointing it at innocent bystanders to soothe his fragile ego.
@StephenKing He WAS advocating for stoning gays, as an aside on cherry-picking scriptures. But she wasn't even cherry-picking scriptures. "Love your neighbor," appears throughout the Bible, and HE cherry-picked the mention in Leviticus to bring up stoning gays and call it "God's perfect law."
