The Book of Mormon is truly for our day!
I have this painting in my home and it reminds me of my priorities, purposes and the urgency to stand up and lead in righteousness in a world of evil and darkness.
Alma 46:12
12 And it came to pass that he rent his coat; and he took a piece thereof, and wrote upon it—In memory of our God, our religion, and freedom, and our peace, our wives, and our children—and he fastened it upon the end of a pole.
Elder Jeffrey R. Holland delivered the best explanation of how The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints deviates from traditional Christianity and returns to the doctrine taught by Jesus Christ himself.
“If one says we are not Christians because we do not hold a fourth- or fifth-century view of the Godhead, then what of those first Christian Saints, many of whom were eyewitnesses of the living Christ, who did not hold such a view either?”
This is a must-watch today:
If you asked me to name one talk that forever changed how I view myself and the world since— it would be this one.
“Beware of Pride” by President Ezra Taft Benson (read by President Gordon B. Hinckley here)
This talk is the gift that keeps on giving for me. It includes 108 unique scripture references to support its teachings. That’s right— 108. It is the playbook on how to fulfill one’s divine destiny.
It called me unto repentance the first time I read it and comes to my mind every time I suspect pride is preventing me from being my best self.
“Pride is the great stumbling block to Zion. I repeat: Pride is the great stumbling block to Zion.”
Enjoy this talk that profoundly impacts me and millions.
We come to church not to hide our problems but to heal them. It is not an automobile showroom—a place to put ourselves on display so that others can admire our spirituality, capacity, or prosperity.
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is more like a service center, where vehicles in need of repair come for maintenance and rehabilitation.
And are we not all in need of repair, maintenance, and rehabilitation?
Artificial discipleship not only keeps us from seeing ourselves as who we really are, but it also prevents us from truly changing through the miracle of the Savior’s Atonement.
The Savior’s Church is a place of healing, not a place of despair, judgment, or sorrow. Jesus Christ, and living His restored gospel, can make of us the genuine, spiritual being of light and truth we desire to be.
Satan’s tools—materialism, lust, and pride—bind hearts in chains of gold and sin. (See 1 Nephi 13:7–9)
Christ's power can break those chains. He offers freedom, peace, and eternal joy.
Choose Him today. Let Him break the chains so you can be free.
Jesus Christ, the Only Begotten Son of God and King of the Jews, was born to offer Himself as a sacrifice to atone for the sins of mankind. —Easter Part 1

🚨 BREAKING: Incredible moment as Nick Shirley reveals his Christian faith ensures he does the right thing
"Even when I went on my mission trip, I was still making videos interviewing people about Jesus in Spanish."
"I had returned back from a two-year mission for my church and I had zero dollars. So I when I came home back from that trip, I worked for an entire month I power washed houses and my goal was to make ten thousand dollars in cash."
"Then I then took that ten thousand dollars in cash and use that to funnel my YouTube channel for the first three months until I could actually make a profit."
"More so than anything [my faith] kept me on the straight and narrow and it's kept me on a good path." @nickshirleyy 🙏🏻

I’m extremely grateful for the ability we have through various ways to provide means of healing those who are sick. A combination of faith, prayers, medical science, technology, the power of the priesthood and the will of the Lord. Without it, this little guy would not be with us today ❤️
I know not all means lead to healing, and my heart goes out to those who have suffered loss, even after all efforts were exhausted.
The Savior knows our suffering perfectly. May we put our faith and trust in Him and allow room for His perfect peace into our lives.
