“When I was 20 I wanted to be a millionaire…Now that I’m a millionaire, I want to be 20.”
I overheard a version of this.
Makes me realize that when I’m 40, I’d rather be 32 (my age) with nothing, just to be 32 (again).
A different frame on gratitude I thought I’d share.
Coaches: Some kids have it harder than others. You know which kids life has kicked a few times. Those kids need extra. Be the person they can count on to listen, offer a shoulder & guidance. You can’t change their circumstances, but, by caring, you might just change their lives.
My big men putting in work this weekend! Can’t wait to see them on the field after all their hard work! @carverwillis75@Dtru72@colby_basye Josh, Ethan, Nate, Will and Yazzie!
Every football player from little league to the pros should watch the Army/Navy GAME closely each year to see how real men play the game - no taunting, no antics, & NO QUIT IN EITHER TEAM. Just all out football by men who are training to offer up their very lives to protect us!
Is it because the priorities of the “adults” involved with the game have shifted? Not long ago, there wasn’t a gaggle of reporters & recruiting experts clinging to these kids. Not long ago, coaching used to be exercising a calling, now, it’s a career choice. kids reflect culture?
