Thank you to everyone who stopped by the DWC booth this Saturday at the SCARCE Growin’ Green Garden Market. We had a wonderful afternoon handing out shower timers, leak detection tablets, and rain gauges—simple tools to help our visitors save water and lower their utility bills.
This week is #DrinkingWaterWeek, an opportunity to learn about your drinking water, while recognizing the people responsible for keeping those systems running every day. Throughout the week, we’ll highlight the work that supports safe, reliable drinking water for our community.
Thank you to the students of Benet Academy who joined us yesterday for a tour of our facility. We hope everyone enjoyed a closer look at how DWC delivers drinking water to DuPage County, maybe even sparking an interest in a future within the Water Industry!

DWC had an amazing time connecting with the 6th graders of Jay Stream Middle School in Carol Stream for Water Immersion Day. Together we explored water usage at home and brainstormed small changes we could make to our daily routine that can have a big impact.

Water is a shared resource that powers our homes, schools, businesses, and our health and well-being. Just imagine your faucet running unsafe drinking water or your toilet not flushing? What would a full day of that be like?

August is National Water Quality Month. We dedicate this month to making the most of the relatively small amount of fresh water we have. Let’s celebrate by appreciating the clean water we drink and swim in, and practice conscious habits to prevent water pollution and save water.
DWC had the pleasure of participating in Montgomery Fest, where we were able to connect with the community and share updates on the WaterLink project, which will bring Lake Michigan water to Montgomery — a vital step forward in securing a sustainable water future for residents.
