@annikadevils He didnt know how to react to being ahead of schedule in 2023, and he crashed and burned with every decision he made after that. It has ways been goaltending/scoring winger/grit...he failed at all 3. Hopefully Sunny is as skilled as we all hope he is to navigate all these clauses

@annikadevils @DaveAMcCarthy I think Carolinas super aggressive style backfires on them in this series. VGK zone exits and entries are that good. Canes will be overly aggressive and the Knights will make them pay for being below the dots. VGK in 6!

Its a problem that the team hasn't been able to figure out a way to maintain a playoff spot in the regular season without him. Its a roster issue that they are solely built around 1 dude.

@JamesNicholsNHL I hope he makes bold moves, but I also cant hate it if he is a little more conservative in his 1st year. We are all of a sudden back to "trust the process". The team is underperforming, and there are bad contracts and really bad goaltending. This dudes got a ton of work to do.

Every year I keep asking myself when is this team gonna stop playing like "boys" and play like "playoff men". You see VGK zone exits/entries and Canes forecheck? Relentless! I just dont see it with our group.

@FreshIceIggy97 @LockedOnDevils Maybe...maaayybe they end up like a 2018 Taylor Hall hart season where Jack drags them into the 1st round and they get smoked. But 86 cant stay on the ice and 13, 28, 63, 7 and 91 haven't figured out how to win without him, so that conversation is moot.

@FreshIceIggy97 @LockedOnDevils You cant pick a streak against mediocre teams and say "pace"...ive always hated that. It doesnt matter what the "pace" is for a series of 12-15 games. Results are all that matters, injuries or not. Jack gets hurt, thats what he does. The core hasnt figured out how to win w/out 86

@annikadevils For me its the VGK zone exits and entries...they come out of their zone and enter O-Zone like a f'n avalanche. They are a big and powerful team and everything they do is hard and downhill. VGK is a franchise that understands, just get in the playoffs and then step up 10 notches.

Not that it matters to anyone, but Mehta and Birch have a ton of work to do, and its gonna take a lot for them to earn the trust of the fan base back. Its a train wreck.
