I tried bionic legs and e-hiked up a mountain—just the latest example of physical AI entering the real world.
The exoskeleton pushes and pulls on your legs, using AI-enabled software to detect movement and deliver the appropriate amount of power. I felt like a complete dork wearing it, and can only imagine the Strava uproar when these devices become more mainstream.
But there's a real case for these motorized supports expanding access to the outdoors for more people. Fresh air is a tonic that shouldn't be gate kept.
