I refused. Wired my local spreadsheet to the centralized portfolio with formulas. Local data fresh โ leadership view fresh. Zero manual sync.
Within a month: real-time portfolio visibility for senior leadership. Sponsors, RYG status, burndown charts. No chasing.
Before Google even had timeline in sheets.
Biggest leverage โ new tools. It's refusing to accept manual work as permanent.
Never had a blank check. That was the advantage.
At Zalando: turned a spreadsheet into a centralized PMO nervous system.
At Taxfix: built a Notion-native delivery OS
Now: agentic PMO on top.
Tools don't create value. Obsession with removing friction does.
Friday is for reviewing the data.
