Future WNBA head coach —
My vote goes to Alysha Clark. 🏀 💯
When AC decides it’s time to hang up the jersey, I really hope Dallas considers keeping her right where she is just moving her from the court to the sideline.
She has the experience, basketball IQ, championship pedigree, leadership and respect to be a great head coach. But what stands out to me most is what you can already see happening with this Wings team. Watch how she communicates with the younger players, how she brings people together, and how they listen when she speaks. That kind of respect can’t just be given with a coaching title it has to be earned, and she already has it.
She’s been around winning organizations, played at the highest level for years, understands different roles, knows what it takes to build a winning culture, and seems to genuinely connect with the players around her.
Give her the title and I think something special could happen in Dallas. And if Dallas isn’t the team that eventually gives her that opportunity, I think any WNBA organization would be lucky to have Alysha Clark on its coaching staff and eventually leading one.
Some players just look like future coaches while they’re still playing. AC is one of them. 💙💚 @Alysha_Clark

In her exit interview, Napheesa Collier said that the WNBA has “the best fans in the world, the best players in the world, but the worst leadership in the world.”
When asked if she expects a fine for what she just said, she said “seems like all of free speech is being fined right now.”
WNBPA statement to The Athletic on Napheesa Collier's comments, via @benpickman:
"Napheesa Collier is an outstanding leader and Officer of this Union. When Phee speaks, people listen. We are confident that her words today speak to the feelings and experiences of many, if not most or all of our members. The leaders of the league and its teams would benefit from listening to her powerful statement. The players know their value even if the league does not. They are fighting for their legacy and the future of basketball."
“Caitlin Clark should be grateful she makes $16 million off the court because without the platform the WNBA gives her, she wouldn't be making anything."
- WNBA Commissioner Cathy Engelbert

Napheesa Collier read a statement regarding what she called the WNBA's "lack of accountability from the league office" on issues surrounding officiating.
@WNBAComms@WNBA@PHEEsespieces needs to pick or be on the board to vote the next commissioner. This girl cares for ladies in W that’s why her and others made a league when the season is over for them to make better money. We need to start the a FCWNBA league.
@WomensHoops_USA I’ll come play for free to just get knocked around so they don’t have to waste anymore money this year. Having a rough season with injuries.
@IndianaFever and @LVAces game right now these refs need to do better for both teams. Where do I sign up to be a ref that calls the game fair both ways because I could do wayyyy better. Do the refs get monthly eye exams & do we check their bank accounts 🆙 after games??

I got fined $500 for this TikTok 🤣🤣 idk why this is funny to me… like ok 👍🏼 you got it bud! Cause there’s not more important things to be worried about with our league right now
@SerhanOnX@espn Poor guy you can’t just blindside a coach like that you need to get his feedback he has been prepping for the next game ahead now he has to change things.
