I just realized that the three novels that I've read recently that've stuck with me the most can all be loosely classed as "rural fiction," being about small isolated settlements dealing with external and/or internal threats

Read through Aniara recently. At certain points it basically descends into nonsense verse but as a Carroll appreciator that just made me like it more
Reading poetry in translation is always a shame but it still manages to work regardless
