#TheMarvels: Leaps and bounds better than Quantumania. The plot may have been on the weaker side and there was clearly some sort of big change made to it in the editing room, but the chemistry between the three leads was infectious and tightly written. A joy from start to finish.
Coming down off of an incredible one-two punch from @MarvelStudios tonight: the premiere for #TheMarvels followed immediately by the season (series?) finale of #LokiSeason2. I came out of Marvels with a big relieved smile and Loki with an awed silence. Things are looking up.
#LokiSeason2: I started off this season a bit confused about where it was going but this finale gave me everything I could've wanted. The climactic sequence where Loki seizes his purpose had my jaw on the floor. The final few scenes were beautiful and bittersweet.
@__CS11 My money's on Dane Whitman. They're both Brits and they're both connected to some form of mythology. Given that Blade popped up at the end of Eternals, I wouldn't be surprised if Moon Knight starts also setting up vampire stuff for the Blade movie.
So I forgot that TECHNICALLY the Chameleon (or at least a guy named Dimitri Smerdyakov) was in Far From Home as one of Fury's agents (maybe a Skrull). Maybe once Secret Wars rolls around, that'll be sorted out. Kind of annoying honestly, this was my favorite idea of the 3.
Spider-Man 5: A whodunit murder mystery with Spider-Man as the prime suspect. Peter finds evidence pointing to several potential villains, including Matt Gargan (Scorpion) and...Ned as Hobgoblin? Ends up being Chameleon. Also Ned is learning magic for real.
Spider-Man 6: Fittingly, a true-blue Sinister Six teamup for the first time ever. Vulture, Venom, Kraven (his movie will be out by then) are definites. The rest could be Mysterio (I'm sure he's alive), Scorpion, Hobgoblin (for real this time), Chameleon and/or Morbius.
@dragonfetus1@Jampolinski I think Vanillite and Vanillish are fine honestly, but the fact that Vanilluxe is just two Vanillishes stuck together really annoys me.
@BanannaSlamma64@Jampolinski Given that you have trash tastes, I'm surprised that Garbodor would be your least favorite.
(This tweet is for pun purposes only and should not be considered genuine criticism)
@Jampolinski Garchomp ranks up there for me for perfectly straddling the line between "so edgy it's awesome" and "so edgy it's stupid". Haunter's my favorite for that classic ghosty look.
Klinklang is maybe the worst purely because of how lazy the evolution progression is.
@adiemac I'd say it'll be very hard to understand the MCU's version of Spider-Man without watching at least the first two MCU movies. His behavior is heavily influenced by the fact that he worked with the Avengers at a VERY early point in his career. But the movie stays pretty contained.
